Raising Elemental as a Leading Climate-Tech Accelerator Building Inclusivity

Over the past decade, there has been a proliferation of accelerators focused on climate technologies, and major Silicon Valley incubators like Y Combinator and tech giants like Amazon have announced climate-focused initiatives. As one of the first organizations to apply a technology accelerator model to clean energy back in 2009, Elemental Excelerator is a leading voice in the sector, with a long, successful track record and a robust portfolio of 99 companies ranging across the mobility, agriculture, water, energy, circular economy sectors, all with a critical focus on equity and access.

Elemental’s goal was to raise its profile to attract more applications from some of the most innovative climate-tech startups to its program, and raise awareness of its unique model focused on equity and access in disadvantaged communities and emphasis on working with incumbents, community organizations and cities (all potential partners on demonstration projects).
