The pioneer of the electrification-as-a-service model, Highland Electric Fleets is the leading provider of electric school buses to districts, communities and states across North America. Today, Highland is spearheading the use of the private-public partnership model to bring electric school buses to students and communities across North America.
Active in 30 US states and Canada, Highland has over 470 buses under contract across 17 projects, with new contracts being announced each month. As part of its proven private-public partnership model, Highland has secured EPA Clean School Bus Funding for numerous rural and low-income districts to electrify their school bus fleets. In recognition of their success, the Biden Administration tapped Highland to partake in the White House’s EV Acceleration Challenge and help 1,000 US school districts improve student and community health by electrifying their school bus fleets by 2030.
